Why I Started Ubuntu Circle
My 81-year-old mother lives in Soweto. For years, whenever she didn't answer her phone, my mind immediately went to the worst.

Had she fallen? Was she unwell? The not knowing was often the hardest part.

When my brother moved in with her, that worry became lighter. It also made me realise how many families don't have someone nearby.

When I shared our story online, thousands of people reminded me that this wasn't just my family's story—it was theirs too.

Ubuntu Circle was born from one simple belief:
When you can't be there, someone you trust should be.
When you can't be there, we'll be there.
